Effective: February 2025 Meter Reading

On Tuesday, February 4, 2025, the Board of Water Commissioner voted to approve a 6.5% increase for the water rates, effective beginning with the 4th quarterly billing cycle (February – May). A typical residential water user will see an overall increase of about $55.67 per quarter, or $222.68 per year. An average customer uses about 19,000 gallons of water per quarter.

To avoid a significant rate increase, a careful effort was made to minimize the impact of inflation for the next fiscal year budget. The rate increase is primarily due to an increase in utilities, supplies and services utilized by the District. To minimize the impact to customers, help promote water conservation, and provide funding for the operations and maintenance of the water system, an inclining block rate strategy is used for determining the water rates.
