Reason for Outage: Water Main Repair
Additional Information:
Please be advised of an Emergency Water Main repair that is currently underway for Sunday, December 15, 2024, on Singletary Lane at the intersection of King Phillip Road. Water service for Singletary Lane (Numbers 46-57), and King Phillip Road (number 4-25) will be temporarily suspended during the repair work.
Although it is not anticipated, any underground utility work carries the potential for unexpected circumstances during excavation that may require a temporary suspension of water service for repairs. If this occurs, we will issue an Emergency Alert to affected customers, providing detailed information about the water service interruption, and we will work hard to restore service as quickly as possible.
- Commuters and school buses will be detoured around the construction area.
- Emergency vehicles will have access through the construction zone.
Homes and businesses in the surrounding area may experience fluctuating water pressure, air in the pipes, or discolored water (caused by mineral sediment being disturbed within the pipes). To clear your water lines, briefly run a cold-water tap after construction is complete.
Is the water safe to drink?
Slight discoloration may occur temporarily, but it is not harmful to your health. The discoloration is due to minerals temporarily suspending in the water and does not affect its quality. Water conditions should return to normal by the following day.

Preparing for a Water Outage:
- Fill pots for cooking and a couple of buckets for washing.
- Fill potable water containers (approx. one gallon per person per day).
- Fill bathtubs with water; use buckets to flush toilets (approximately one gallon of water per flush).
During a Water Outage:
- Avoid using water faucets, dishwashers, or washing machines to prevent air from entering your plumbing.
After Water Service is Restored:
