In an ongoing effort to ensure water quality and system reliability water main replacement on Codjer Lane (between Union Avenue and Concord Road) begins on Monday, June 1st.
What you should expect:
- On Monday, June 1st water service will be temporarily suspended during the hours of 9 AM-3 PM (approx.) on Codjer Lane, Walk-up Road and Concord Road (No’s 88 thru to 160) to allow for cutting and capping the old water main.
- Construction Hours: 7:30 AM-4 PM, Monday-Friday thru project end, on or about June 30th.
- Codjer Lane will be closed to thru traffic during construction hours, Sudbury Police detail officers will be on-site to facilitate vehicle detours and pedestrian traffic.
- The construction zone (Codjer Lane between the intersections of Concord Road and Union Avenue) will remain-open to residents of and business located on Codjer Lane and emergency vehicles.
- Safety is our priority, occasional travel delays should be expected allowing for construction equipment to be moved outside of the travel lane.
- Periodic planned water outages may be necessary. Stay informed, sign-up to receive important alerts via Reverse-9-1-1 at www.sudburywater.com.
- Access to driveways and entrance-ways will be maintained. In the event it becomes necessary to block a driveway/entrance-way for a short period of time (usually less than 4 hours) our contractor will attempt to contact the home/business owner to coordinate and minimize inconveniences.
- Every effort will be made to reduce traffic delays however commuters should expect some degree congestion.
