EMAIL
Modern-technology has made possible a means of communicating with the District directly by way of email. We have found this to be an incredible asset to our consumers. Approximately 30% of our customers have subscribed and use this tool on a daily basis.

In the event of an emergency or if important information develops, we are able to transmit an email to subscribers immediately. Customers can also access our website. We use this as a means of supplying important information to our customers easily and rapidly, including our latest water quality tests, frequently asked questions and explanations of the rules and regulations of the District.

To register with our email database email us and include your name, address, telephone number and email address. Changes to an existing email address can only be made via email and should also include your name, street address, former email address and new email address. Information provided on a remittance invoice regarding email changes or additions will be disregarded.

SPAM Policies
Many (if not all) email providers use SPAM blockers (mail abuse prevention systems) in an effort to stop nuisance mail messages. If you are currently registered as an email subscriber and have not received a transmission from our office in recent months your SPAM Blocker or SPAM Filtering System is the most likely culprit. Existing and new subscribers wishing to receive important information such as water main breaks, flushing schedules, emergency water situations, etc., must contact your email provider to guide you through the proper steps to add our email address to your personal list of acceptable mail or train your SPAM Filtering System to accept mail from customerservice@sudburywater.com.
